I meant to ask this when I first saw it, but WTF is that GIF about? XDD

I last watched Episode 2 of "Death Note". Bit late to the party. >.> I already love L though, he's awesome! Loved that whole staged event that Pyra told me about. The writer is awesomely clever. Can't wait to see how it pans out.

Like if you went to hell, and it was full of blood, and that blood was on fire, and it was raining blood, and maybe that would be enough blood! Eh, but, probably not." - Elven Blood Mage, Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne

Death Note is pretty rad. As for the gif, if you mean the woman getting elbowed, it's from elfen lied, and that guy is such a well trained fighter that he does that to people who walk up behind him.

Nazo no Kanojo X #000

There is something... really, really weird about this manga. It's just dodgy in unconventional ways.

[edit]

Okay, just started reading #001 and it's stopped being unconventionally dodgy and now it just pretty openly dodgy. This manga is like morbid curiosity, like roadkill. You know it's going to be gross but you still need to see how gross.

I'm quite happy to not read it, I read what was on wikipedia about it and that's enough. Besides I quite like watching you morbid curiosity get you in trouble. What next, Strike Witches & Queens Blade? There are over 600 chapters of Jo Jo's Bizzare Adventrue out there if you want something to churn through

...addicted to saliva...? Ookaay, staying WELL away from that one. XD

I last watched up to Death Note episode 13. This is probably one of those annoying things where because I'm so late in picking this up everyone on here knows it's awesome. XD But it is! I love L, he's an awesome character. Though, you've got to wonder about the odds of two teenage intellectual prodigies both living in the same area. XD Though I suppose L wasn't in Japan to begin with.

Yeah, the idea is that a new girl arrives, and she always sleeps during class/breaks and she's really weird, he goes back one day, she wakes up but she was drooling over her desk. he tastes it and it's sweet. he then becomes really ill, and she arrives at his house and tells him it's because he tasted her drool, and he's been a few days without it, so he's getting withdrawal symptoms, but it's not because of any kind of virus or alien thing or anytihng, it just means that he's in love with her, and that they have a "bond", and whenever one tastes the saliva of the other, they can feel what they're feeling. So if she was turned on, he nommed her saliva, he'd get turned on, and if he was really happy and she nommed his saliva, then she'd become really happy. The whole thing is basically just a "growing up/sexual awareness" kind of thing, though I do worry about the subtext, and some of the images, it's all a bit weird. She has this thing where she keeps a pair of scissors tucked inside her panties, and whenever he goes too far (tries to hug her or something) she gets them out and does some super fast thing where she cuts things to pieces or cuts shapes into things with them.

Castration Anxiety much?

And if you're thinking this all sounds really weird... you'd be right, it's really weird.

[edit]

in short what i can gather it's all about control and castration anxiety - the fear the woman is going to lop off you knob. basically.

So after drinking lots of booze, but narrowly avoiding the 96% by vol "Spirtyus" Beldandy is immune to alcohol but gets drunk on cola and randomly make a girl 30 foot tall in front of a party full of people.

Has Ah My Goddess always been this drug crazed or is it just this season.

Previous statment retracted. Marler has shown up, best season ever.

Oh man, I'm thinking of watching this again. Those are some good episodes with quite an unexpected twist. Some people think that it goes down hill from here, but I think it is still well worth watching, even with mafia ICBMs. That and I actually think Mello is kinda kick ass.

I finished Death Note.

Yeah, mafia ICBMs was a bit much. XD

Holy shit, though, what an epic ending. Well, up until the point you realise the whole series is actually quite depressing. -_-;; I guess you can see it from the start, the protagonist being what he is, but I still enjoyed the ending and the series as a whole. I loved the big reveal at the end. Near is awesome, and my second favourite after L. I have to say, I didn't quite see the point in Mello. For someone L considered as his successor he seemed a bit...incompetent. Near is by far the better choice. From my perspective, anyway.

The saddest part for me in the whole series is how Light's family ends up. I won't give any details, but there are some quite heart rending scenes that I did not like at all, purely from an emotional perspective. So, I don't think it was "bad", just very depressing.

Overall, though, a stunning series (somewhat lessened by some shitty fansubs in the batch I downloaded, but anyway). I'm considering getting the DVDs and seeing what the dub is like. I'm also keen to check out the live action films as well.

I thoroughly recommend it to any anime fan, though anyone who reads this has probably already seen it. XD

I saw the first movie. It's pretty well made, and they pulled off Ryuk convincingly. They fiddle around with things a fair bit. I really need to see the second movie to see how it pans out.
