What did you last watch?
« on: Mon 10 Dec 2007 22:01:28 »
I know we all love these type of topics, just answer the question in the title, What did you last watch?

I've just watched The Simpsons Movie. I have to say, it was better than I expected it to be! Some parts had me laughing alot. I defiently think it's worth checking out.

good man :D last thing I watched was Gladiator last night. I saw this when it came out in the cinema but hadn't seen it since. It's really awesome, and I'd recommend anyone who hasn't seen it to see it, anyone who has to see it again.

I'm assuming this doesn't just pertain to films, so...I last watched an episode of The Simpsons on Sky 1. Twas the one where Lisa tries to tap dance and Bart and Milhouse camp out at the mall, lol.

(In case this was meant to pertain to films, I last watched The Golden Compass at the cinema yesterday, lol)
'Why do I smile at people I'd much rather kick in the eye?' - The Smiths. Moz is a lyrical genius :D
'There's pink flamingos living in the mall' - Conor Oberst, who is also a lyrical genius, hee~ :D

Stranger than Fiction

If you love surreal films, then you'll love this! Very odd!

"Husband to a murdered wife, father to a murdered son."

Or along those lines anyway. XP That's an epic film.

I last saw The Golden Compass, even though it's Northern Lights dammit! Those Americans!

The film was a little sub-par for me. I think the trailers made it look far better than the film turned out to be, but I guess in that respect they succeeded. And now I know why there were no speaking parts for the girl in the trailers. XP Her accent is more than unpleasant (at least, for me) and her acting leaves quite a lot to be desired. Nonetheless there are some good parts, Nicole Kidman for one and Daniel Craig for another (despite his pitifully short screen time). I'll probably go and see the second installment but in the end this film didn't draw me in.

Like if you went to hell, and it was full of blood, and that blood was on fire, and it was raining blood, and maybe that would be enough blood! Eh, but, probably not." - Elven Blood Mage, Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne

My mum reads those books and was looking forward to it. Myself, the only thing that interested me was armoured polar bear fighting things so I don't think I'll see it =P

Northern Lights is a good book! As is Subtle Knife. I haven't read The Amber Spyglass altho I have it at home.

Since I last posted I've watched:

Big Nothing - Simon Pegg and David Schwimmer in a dark comedy... Not quite what I was expecting but pretty good

XMen and XMen 2 - got the third film and haven't watched these for ages so thought I would watch them in order. Most people know what these are like lol

Alien Apocalypse - Starring The Chin!  And he is the only thing that makes it worth watching.  See my recent addition to the Quotage thread for one reason why.

Seen:

XMen 3 - pretty good

Chicago - seen this film before

Hairspray - not what I was expecting (with the whole facing the racism issue back in the 60s) but still good :)

I last watched Russell Brand's latest DVD, Doing Life Live.

As much as I liked his first DVD, this one was even better.
