I know I've done this before but got caught up and couldn't do it, but I've recently come to a realisation that was right in my face all along - DA also accepts writing! So, as before, what I want to do is a chapter by chapter story. I want people to post suggesting what can happen in this story, what it can be about, where it can be set, what characters are in it. It can be comedic, but not too nuts. I don't want Batista running around with Naruto fighting Jack Black in Norway.

That said, be creative =) I'll leave this as is for the moment so people can post a few things down and we can get a basis started, then I'll work on the first chapter, post it on DA, and you lot can then tell me what you want to happen in the next chapter, any charcters you want me to introduce, or kill off, anything you want. =) so post some themes, characters, ideas, plots!

None at all. It can be a western, a fantasy, a sci fi, or all of those things. The only restrictions I will say is that though you can be imaginative as you want, be sensible. Again, no wrestlers and ninjas fighting rock stars in foreign countries =P

A fantasy setting, preferably medieval'ish. Even more preferable, if its a low/dark fantasy (where magic and elves arent so commonplace or obvious, though monsters and boogiemen still can be).
A haggard, old and washed-up knight named Lyle, with a pet wolf companion, travelling across a frozen tundra, and encounters a female babarian who goes by the name of Fenris She-Bitch (or She-Wolf if you prefer)

Dear god im up for it I still have pangs for PoK and as you can see on DA ive satiated by writing. Im definitely game and the skys the limit for where its set.

I think something set in Africa would be quite cool. Or maybe set on a tropical island somewhere in the Indo-pacific ocean.
Not contemporary but also not too far in the past. Maybe set in the 50s-90s. No idea what it could be about though, will think more

It's possible I'll start the story off from the perspective of a couple different characters and have them converge at some point, so I could use different settings.

right, Rob told me he was going to use a warrior going through the snow, so i add to that:

he was travelling with his comrades on sledges pulled by dogs, and they were ambushed (something with fire...) and he was the only one to survive, and all the supplies were destroyed, and now he has to try and find a way to survive...

Nice, I'm going to run with that. And I also like Draig's idea, so I think I'll have another setting running alongside in a kind of Africa setting, if not Africa itself. I've toyed with the idea of multiple dimensions clashing which will allow future settings, past, fantasy, all sorts... keep the ideas coming guys. Specific characters you want to see, settings, items, themes, anything

In my head I've got a city that looks slightly like Gotahm City from Batman: The Animated series (think the 1940/50's retro while being slightly modern) crossed with Sin City. Maybe it could be about a corrupt detective? or criminal undergrounds? or somthing like that.

I love this idea too. See, you guys, you give me lots of good ideas =P I'm going to use as many as I can and use the alternate dimensions thing. It'll work out good, you'll see =P keep 'em coming!

How's about I throw in the classic Elven Ranger? Dunno about a name. Dual wields two longswords, less skilled with a bow, wears a dark green cloak and elven chainmail? Can do limited magic. Is used to living in forests with his kin (other elves). That's all I've got at the moment.
