Current Thoughts - March

The purpose of a GM isn't to win, it's to tell a story. If you're going out to win you'd probably just end up pissing people off, unless they know from the start that you're going to chuck every damn thing at them to challenge them. If they're expecting a regular game and you're just going to try to murder them at every turn, you should expect them to get disgruntled

Well if you tell a good story and everyone had fun then that's a win right? Seriously though you can run a game with the GM vs players if the GM is fair. D&D is well balanced in power levels and you could easily have a party given the objective a head of time and it would work quite while as a one shot. Something like "you need to make level 20 character, you'll be heading into a dungeon, I'm going to fuck you up" would be quite fun. Wouldn't work in ever game though.

D&D is in the dungeon. You have reminded me though I've upgraded my PC while dnd was in slow mode and not sure if I brought it all across.

It would be really nice to carry Four Links on, it was really bloody good, I think we all just stopped when we had to level up. If we go through that in the discussion thread then maybe we can carry on? If you've got the bits and bobs to carry on, Pyra

I'd love to continue Four Links. I'd also like to run a game on here of something at some point, and it'd more than likely be a CyberPunk one.

Yes pretty much, and if you use the tool I PMed it'll be quite easy to do.

Couldn't find my original character, but found my rule book. So I'll need to remake my character. I should probably let pho know he is going to be running cyber punk.

Hehe they are nice Both ones for school/interview but also with the potential to go out in... One is even a pair of heels! Which for me is most unusual...
