Major forum changes

I was thinking of changing the name of the forum, because Phoenix Roleplay has really been outdated for ages. It's always ended up more of a general forum than an actual roleplaying forum. What I want from you guys is a new name for the forum. The narcissist in me would still like it to contain "Phoenix" in the name, but it doesn't have to. So chuck some suggestions in here and we'll discuss it. Hopefully you'll agree on the reasons for changing the name, but if there's enough people who want it to stay the same, then that's fine.

I'm also hoping to put another plan into action... more on that soon. Discuss!

In a similar naming fashion, I think 'Phoenix Rebirth' sounds cool, though loving Phoenix down too. ^_^

You know what, I was thinking of using "Dynasty Meltdown". Years ago when I was about 16 I wanted to make a band called Dynasty Meltdown (which would eventually be my email and online name) but hten later changed it to Phoenix Down. Phoenix Down would be a pretty awesome name and it'd be nice to put it to use after all these years.

If we're going for a positive name, Phoenix Rising and Phoenix Rebirth aren't bad, but you need to think of the intrinsic message of the name. When people read it they're going to create a mental story around what it is. Even if it's a cool sounding name their mind is going to flick a switch at the back going "what does it mean?"

If that doesn't make sense I'll stop with the psychology and we'll just pick a cool name :P

Yeah, you're right, I'm thinking too much into it. Personally, I am liking Phoenix Rebirth so far.

I suggested Phoenix Rebirth for several reasons.
1) You're changing the name, so in a way, upgrading, also in a way, giving the site a 'rebirth' :p
2) It's Phoenix's move in some Final Fantasy games (I know it's rather Rebirth Flame, but meh). ^_^
3) It implies to most new people that we're a forum who know our games, since when most people see Phoenix Rebirth, they will think of final Fantasy mainly I'd imagine.

Though, Team Fucking awesome also gets my vote, and it sounds good in your head when you abbreviate it. Go on, think it. TFA. TFA. 8)
