Ok so here is the place where I would like to see some background from your characters, you have your sheets with the stats e.t.c but here I'd like to see something similar to what you'd do for another RP, preferably outlining the reasons behind Enemies, Rivals e.t.c

Names help too :P

Right here is some background on the ship you guys have as of yet you haven't named it but that doesn't matter, its sort of a bio thingy so figured it was worth posting here!

Your ship has two of the Impulse Shuttles and one Warp Shuttle.

Orion Hauler Class Freighter

Designs for the 'Hauler' class started in 2364, however the project was susceptible to setbacks, staff, money, Dominion War e.t.c. When he class finally went into production several parts of its design, while valid in 2364, now appeared outdated in 2378. Other parts of the design still held true however, a higher than normal amount of thrusters make the class very manoeuvrable, a trait most captains will gladly take over the outdated principles.
The hauler was designed with enough weaponry to provide sufficient protection, however in no way is it a powerful vessel. The designs focused mainly on the classes reliable propulsion and shield systems to get it away from any would-be attackers. The main focus of the design however was the cargo capacity and the team(s) excelled on this point, for its size the class has an incredible amount of cargo space.

"More cargo space than that huge lumbering Warbird the Romulan's build." One of the designers has been quoted saying.

Combined with the ships shuttle and transporter capabilities the ship is suitable and versatile enough for almost any cargo jobs thrown at it.

All in all this class, while a bit behind on current designs, has enough benefits to outweigh this fact and many captains are willing to sacrifice the 'Mod-Cons' for functionality, reliability and the potential for high profit.

Orion Carrier Class Impulse Shuttles

A simple yet effective shuttle designed to allow cargo carriers to transport their cargo to planet surfaces and back again when the transporters are inoperative or otherwise not useable. It has been many years since someone designing a shuttle 'Got it wrong' and again that wasn't the case when the 'Carrier' class shuttle was designed.
Built again with reliability in mind the small yet sturdy shuttle has built a reputation on its simplicity and functionality, combined with a moderate cargo capacity the shuttle makes good on its underlying design goal of 'A decent cargo ferry.' a simple yet important goal.

Orion Cross Prototype Warp Shuttle

How the Orion's managed to acquire Dominion Warp and Impulse technology isn't completely known, however its logical to assume they bought the designs. From those designs this shuttle has been developed, running under the working title of 'Cross' this shuttle again has reliability at the forefront of its design.
The mechanics making this shuttle somehow got something right with the engines making the shuttle far more manoeuvrable than originally predicted at impulse speeds, and capable of a decent Warp 9 this shuttle speed is not something to be sniffed at.
Not everything worked out with this design however and for reasons not yet identified the shuttles engines have a negative effect on its shields making them slightly less effective. For the moment no solution to this has been found but over time its possible someone might solve the problem.

Name: Duram Tukal
Race: Cardassian
Class: Soldier
Occupation: Ex-Central Command Security Officer, currently security aboard the SS [NAME]
Skills:
Duram is well versed in ranged and hand to hand combat, ground tactics and survival, with basic field medic training.
Appearance:
Duram is particularly well built, even by Cardassian standards. Duram shed the common Cardassian military armour in favour of tailor made black and grey Cardassian civvies, laced with a material to give extra insulation yet still with reasonable durability. Duram has a 4-inch scar from below his right eye straight down his cheek from being on the recieving end of a Bat'leth.

Personality:
Duram is Cardassian highly proud of his race, despite their reputation and recent downfall. Duram is uncommonly straight talking for a Cardassian - never one to mix words, Duram prefers to rely on a show of force rather than trickery. However, Duram hasn't completely shyed away from such things, and on occasion will resort to such things if it appropriate. Duram's time with the crew of the [NAME] have given him a little more appreciation for other species, although he is still treated with disdain by most Bajorans.

Background:
Duram Tukal grew up through the Cardassian educational system, with it's rigourous mental training, and worked his way up to a respectable guard position in Central Command. With the Cardassians alliance with the Dominion, Duram was always silently opposed to them, but stuck to his duties, working for the better of Cardassia. When word of Damar's rebellion reached him, he set about contacting the rebels and joined. When the bombardment was over and the in the following time the treaty was signed, Duram left Cardassia Prime in the hopes of returning able to better serve Cardassia. He met and joined the crew of the merchant ship [NAME] to travel the galaxy in search of ways to help rebuild his fallen race.

Name: Lorval Hunter
Race: Human/Vulcan
Class: Merchant
Occupation: Trader & Ship Captain

Skills:
With intellect being Lorval’s foremost raw talent he has an aptitude with numbers and an endearing nature that has helped him start a career in trading. He is able to sway people’s opinions with a few careful words and has a knack for acquiring goods at a value below their true worth. His time spent growing up on Earth has granted him limited knowledge of navigating starships.

Appearance:
Lorval has the pointed ears of a Vulcan but the slightly rounder face and curved eyebrows of a Human. In addition his blood is red and his physiology is that of a Human, with his heart under his ribcage and his pulse at a more human level. His skin is tinged with red rather than the Vulcan green. His eyes are a bright green and his hair an inky black that he keeps cut above his shoulders, sometimes hiding his ears when it would advantageous to do so. His build is slender but lean, reflecting his devotion to a healthy lifestyle.

Personality:
Lorval is quite friendly and open to most who meet him. His endearing nature has helped him secure more than one batch of goods and he generally tries to avoid conflict by keeping on people’s good sides. He is just as openly emotional as any Human, which can be a little jarring to those who see his ears. He believes everyone deserves the chance at life and dislikes conflict. Since his mother brought him up while serving with Starfleet he has their principles at heart and tries to be as fair as possible when partaking in his profession. A desire to see the stars and fund his wanderlust is his main reason for trading, while helping others in need gradually became a close second. He tries to supply goods to those that desperately need it and is not against using slightly underhanded means to do so, deception being one of them.

Background:
His Vulcan mother is a Starfleet officer and as a result he was brought up under most of their principles. However, because his mother was often absent due to her work his father influenced him the most and it is likely because of this that he decided to forge his own path by travelling the stars, rather than enlisting in Starfleet. Perhaps it is due to his Human heritage, but Lorval finds the regulations of Starfleet to be stifling and prefers the freedom of manning his own ship or at least travelling under his own volition. He tries to help people where he can but ultimately he wants to explore the universe as much as he can. His principles were ultimately tested when he witnessed the brutal murder of a rival trader on a neutral trading station under the jurisdiction of the Federation. Since the victim was human and the crime was committed on a Federation station it was the Federation that handled the case. Lorval testified against the Orion killer and, as the only witness, helped bring him to justice. The sister of the accused did not appreciate this and, unbeknownst to Lorval, swore revenge. If she should find him, he would be in for a surprise indeed...

Currently, however, the resolution of the recent Dominion War and thus the ability for ships to enter the Gamma Quadrant is a perfect opportunity for Lorval to expand his horizons and he has hired a crew for a ship for exactly his purpose.

EDIT: Added the details of my "Enemy" flaw to my background.

Emray wound up servering upon the akira class USS oak, and served with a little distinction aboard, his technical skills enhanced by his service.

Whilst on board, emray met and got involved in a bitter rively with jasper spears, a lt on board in the security department. Emray was not the most disciplined of men, and was often punished. Although many did not mind beyond disciplining him, jasper spears got frustrated and angered by emray, and began to go more and more out of his way to annoy emray. On at lest once unhappy occasion the two wound up in fist fight, for witch both reseved punishment.

Finding the constant discipline in Starfleet chafing, emray left with the end of the domain war, getting his discharge in 2377. With new experience and understanding under his belt, emray agine “jobbed” around the galaxy, seeking, primaryly, a chance to explore the gamma quadrant more, in a more relaxed setting then star fleet would alowe.
