To be very unpopular here, I vote for very early next year. Yes, we'd all have exhausted funds over the Christmas/New Year period, but it'll be a good way to celebrate the new year too! I need time to settle back into England, get a job, save up money, maybe find someone to travel with (^_^) since I've never been out of Dartford (except the hotspots. Gravesend, Bluewater, Bexleyheath....bleh).  Yes, I'm a little handful, sue me. ^_^

I am pretty up for coming along to one, but a weekend would be pretty essential as I am now back to living in the real world and cant take the time off like I used to.
What about late november/early december - the last one I came to in nottingham was that time of year and it went pretty well.
I might even be really generous and hire a room for people to crash in...

Don't worry, all cons will be done at weekends. Typically they run from Fri to Mon, so Fri and Mon are taken up with people coming/going wihle Sat and Sun are free to do things.

Less chance to be indecisive.

More win for time to organise than September.

And Halloween :D COSTUMES!!!

I don't work Saturdays anymore either...thank god!

October would be fine for me to be honest, the second half of it would be best though, other than that I think November would be ideal too. I think my place is still okay for con-goers, I move back on september 13th so i'll let people know how many i can let stay if the con is held at my place. Again, if we do hold it in nottingham and I dont have enough room for everyone there are a large number of hotels for people too.

Actually, now that I've given it serious thought I've voted for next year.

I don't have anymore holiday I can take off this year so unless it's held somewhere locally for me there's no chance of me attending. Even Nottingham is too far, as I could only leave Friday evening and have to drive back on Sunday, which doesn't justify the journey for me. I'd rather be able to book both the Friday and Monday off.

Well I'm ok most of the time, generally I can get a day or two off either side of a weekend. Only problem is clashes with other things such as the Expo (Which is in October consiquently) and I should be able to drive to where it may be providing I have enough warning.

I could probably be available in mid to late october. If we go out around halloween I shotgun dressing as the joker - I have wanted to try that look for a while.
